63. Myrmica brevipennis View in CoL HNS . B.M.
Male. Length 4 1/2 lines.-Head and thorax black;.antennae, mandibles, legs, abdomen and second node of the petiole, ferruginous, the femora slightly dusky; wings fulvo-hyaline, shorter than the abdomen, with the nervures pale rufo-testaceous. Head and thorax with a fine longitudinal striation, and thinly clothed with long pale pubescence; the legs and abdomen pubescent. Head narrowed behind, and slightly emarginate; the sutures of the scutellum and post-scutellum ferruginous.
