Diagnosis. (Modified from Hoffer 1983), Female body slightly flattened usually golden yellowish brown except gaster dark brown. Face ventrally with a deeply excavated arch including shallow but well defined scrobe; frontovertex broad and flat, about 1/3 head width, sculpture of head matt, leathery, dull, with very short and relatively sparse setae. Cheeks well developed, angular. Ocelli forming obtuse triangle. Antennal formula 1161 or 1151; scape slightly flattened and not less than 2.5× as long as wide, widest either at apex or middle; pedicel small and not more than 1.5× as long as wide, fairly broad; clava solid and robust, with six rows of longitudinal sensilla.
Dorsum of the mesosoma flat. Pronotum relatively short; mesoscutum without notaular lines, significantly shorter than scutellum; posterior margin of scutellum with or without group of long coarse setae; axillae clearly divided; sculpture of the mesosoma leathery, matt, with strigate or costulate sculpture; setae on mesosoma very short and sparse. Wings either brachypterous or macropterous, almost triangular, with dark setae. Fore wing smoky with ill-defined median spot sometimes present; linea calva narrow, parallel or not parallel; submarginal vein narrow without triangular widening; marginal vein punctiform or longer than wide; postmarginal vein longer than marginal vein and a little longer or shorter than bent-stigmal vein. Legs yellow except metatibia or all tibiae brown; mid tibial spur shorter than mid basitarsus.
Gaster dark brown, smooth and shiny; setae very fine and short; TI the longest and almost 1/3 length of the gaster; gonostyli pushed forward; ovipositor not exserted.
