Haliplus cribrarius was recorded from Newfoundland, Labrador, and Nova Scotia by Matheson (1912), from New Brunswick by Roughley (1991), and from Prince Edward Island by Vondel (2005) and Majka (2008) ( Fig. 3). In Atlantic Canada there are records from small eutrophic ponds, shallow lake margins, river margins (in association with Typha View in CoL sp.), in a stream, and from a cattail swamp.
