Gonatocerus africanus Risbec, 1956a: 153 View in CoL ; 14 ♀ and 1 ♂ syntypes (MNHN). TL: Cameroon, Garoua .

Gonatocerus jassidae Risbec, 1956b: 821 View in CoL ( nomen nudum ). This name unquestionably applies to G. risbeci , as Risbec’s discussion about the original misidentification of the host clearly indicates.

Gonatocerus camerounensis Özdikmen, 2011: 840 View in CoL (unnecessary replacement name for Gonatocerus africanus Risbec, 1956 View in CoL not Soyka, 1950).

Distribution. Cameroon.

Afrotropical hosts. Cicadellidae : “ Tettigoniella albidipes ” ( Risbec 1956a) . The author of the species name was not given by Risbec and the specific name was not found in any catalogue of Cicadellidae . The genus is a synonym of Cicadella Latreille.
