Type Locality: Indonesia, Sulawesi, Sulawesi Selatan, Ujung Pandang (= Macassar).
Vernacular Names: Sulawesi Dwarf Cuscus.

Distribution: Sulawesi, Peleng Isl, Sanghir Isls. Records from Taliabu and Obi Isl ( Indonesia) may be erroneous ( T. F. Flannery, pers. comm.).
Conservation: IUCN – Data Deficient. Common.
