Electrotettix † also has a unique species, E. attenboroughi † Heads and Thomas, 2014 . It is distinguished from other Cladonotinae by the presence of tegmina and rudimentary hind wings ( Heads et al. 2014), given that recent Neotropical cladonotines do not present wings. This species was also found in the Dominican Republic ( Heads et al. 2014; Cigliano et al. 2018).
