This genus has only one species, Tiburonotus peninsularis Perez-Gelabert, Hierro and Otte, 1998 , from Haiti ( Fig. 16 View Figure 16 ). This genus can be distinguished by an elevated pronotum, only anteriorly increased, with its posterior margin slightly concave in dorsal view ( Fig. 16C View Figure 16 ; Perez-Gelabert et al. 1998).
