Diagnosis. Hengchunia may be distinguished from other Paralimnini by the following combination of features: forewings with two subapical cells; subgenital plate short, with a heavily sclerotized dentate area dorsoapically; apical process of style elaborate and preatrium of aedeagus with pair of processes (except H. pakistanica ).

Distribution. Afrotropical Region, Palaearctic Region and Oriental Region.
