Diagnosis

This species resembles D. triclada (Qian and Zhou) in general appearance, especially the wing pattern, but is separated from the latter by mesal branch of paramere bifurcate and female genital plate without lateral process.

Redescription – male

Body yellowish brown; vertex black in the ocellar triangle and between the antennae; rostrum yellow, with two black longitudinal lateral stripes.

Thorax. Nota yellowish brown, with two black longitudinal lateral stripes; pleura and legs pale yellow ( Figure 10A View Figure 10 ).

Wings. Forewing length 15.0–16.0 mm, width 3.5–4.0 mm; dusky hyaline, with only the pterostigmal band as a light brown subtriangular oblique spot extending from pterostigma to the fork-point of R 2+3. Hindwing length 13.5–14.0 mm, width 3.5–4.0 mm, similar to forewing in pattern ( Figure 10A View Figure 10 ).

Abdomen. Terga I–V yellow, with two lateral black longitudinal stripes; notal organ of tergum III undeveloped. Segment VI with paired anal horns.

Male genitalia. Genital bulb oval. Epandrium broad basally, and tapering toward apex with a broad shallow emargination ( Figure 10C View Figure 10 ). Hypovalves markedly divergent, with a row of bristles along the inner margin ( Figure 10D View Figure 10 ). Gonostylus slender, with a small blunt median process along the inner margin; the basal process broad at base and tapering toward apex, terminating in an acute hook. Parameres trifurcate, with the basal branch considerably long, reaching the apex of gonocoxite; the mesal branch extending beyond the median process of gonostylus; the lateral branch the thickest, bifurcate subapically, extending slightly beyond the basal process of gonostylus. Dorsal and ventral valves of aedeagus blunt apically, without setae on dorsal valves ( Figure 10E View Figure 10 ).

Redescription – female

Forewing length 16.5–17.0 mm, width 4.0– 4.2 mm; hindwing length 14.5–15.0 mm, width 4.0 mm, similar to the male except the pterostigmal band of forewing extending to R 5 ( Figure 10B View Figure 10 ).

Female genitalia. Subgenital plate broad, distal half gradually tapering toward apex with a ligulate process and several bristles ( Figure 10F, G View Figure 10 ). Genital plate broad, folded ventrad on each side, with a pair of basal plates. Posterior arms broad and blunt. Axis short.
