Genus Perspicuus Koubová in Koubová and Mlynský, 2020
Type species: Perspicuus vrsanskyi Mlynský in Koubová and Mlynský, 2020
Type horizon: Cenomanian, Upper Cretaceous
Type locality: Hukawng amber, North Myanmar
Composition: Perspicuus pilosus Koubová in Koubová and Mlynský, 2020
Diagnosis (after Koubová and Mlynský, 2020): Perspicuus differs from the slightly smaller relative Vitisma by more laborate colour patterns contrasting with simple spots and simple stripes, and by more elongated forewings and body. Long hairs are autapomorphic. Vitisma is uniform and extremely conservative genus (without morphological variability) known from Barremian of Mongolia and Russia, and Aptian of Spain. Therefore, the establishment of a morphologically distinct, separate genus for the present taxa is fully justified.
