Neotype (Ghora & Panigrahi in Nayar & al. in Fasc. Fl. India 18: 8. 1984): Herb. Linn. No. 640.25 ( LINN) .

Current name: Prunus domestica L. subsp. insititia (L.) C.K. Schneid. ( Rosaceae ).

Note: Ghora & Panigrahi (in Nair, Fasc. Fl. India 18: 8. 1984) indicated 640.25 (LINN) as type. Although this collection is not original material for the name (it is annotated only by Linnaeus filius), in the absence of any original material, this choice is accepted as a neotypification (Art. 9.8).
