Diagnosis. Thorax: transverse parallel lines of punctures on pronotum present, shared with N. niamensis and N. immaculata ; ostiolar ruga auriculate, conspicuous. Abdomen: margins of connexivum with a red band, sometimes extended along margins of corium and pronotum ( Fig. 2 F ), shared with N. robusta and N. immculata . Female: posterior margins with gonocoxites 8 straight; basal half of laterotergites 9 laterally concave and medially convex ( Fig. 16 L ).

Material examined: Zangis niamensis Distant, 1890 Holotype female (♀ BMNH) with labels: a) Type b) niamensis Dist c) Niam-Niam Bohndorff d) Distant Coll. 1911-383. CAMEROON: Baigom (reg.

Pamount), (2♀ MNHN); Carayon , 1947 (1♀ MNHN). CONGO: Faradje, 29°40’ E 3°40’N, Lang & Chapin, 1913, (1♀ AMNH). UGANDA: Tororo, C.C. Parodey, 18.XII.1910, Acrosternum niamensis Det. B. Uvarov (1♀ BMNH).
