Material examined. Indonesia: Maluku, Pulau Bacan , (0°35'S, 127°30'E), 1.i.–31.xii.1894, leg. W. Kükenthal— 1 male (syntype) (Frankfurt SMF) GoogleMaps .
Diagnosis & Discussion. The species is characterized by the characteristic shape of the male abdominal apex that carries about in centre a low, transverse, little curved, sub-angular projection, below that projection it is widely furrowed in midline and at apical margin obtusely projecting on both sides of midline; on ventro-proximal margin below both of these obtuse projections it is provided with a blunt black tooth pointing mediad ( Fig. 18G View FIGURE 18 ). The male subgenital plate is wider than long, at apical margin provided with a pair of obtuse styliform projections widely separated from each other; the moveable styli are inserted at lateral angles of apical margin, little curved and distinctly longer than the subgenital plate.
