Type locality. Germany, Saxony (“Habitat in Saxoniae nemoribus Dr. Heise”).
Material examined. None.
Identity. Aethes tesserana ( Denis and Schiffermüller, 1775) ( Tortricinae , Cochylini ).
Remarks. This species was described in synonymy with Tortrix tesserana D. and S. (but referred as Phalaena tuserana , a subsequent incorrect spelling).
