This species was reported from the Common Starling Sturnus vulgaris L. ( Sturnidae ) (type host) from Kirghizia; the Eurasian Jay Garrulus glandarius (L.) ( Corvidae ) from Russia and the Fieldfare Turdus pilaris L.
( Turdidae View in CoL ) from Russia ( Chirov & Kravtsova 1995; Bochkov & Mironov 1998; Fain et al. 2000).
Material examined. From quills (coverts) of the Eurasian Blackbird Turdus merula L. (new host): 10 females, 3 males and 10 nymphs (Syr. 187); Jordan, Al-Dhleil, 0 8 March 0 3.2003, leg. M. Skoracki.
