Neotype (Lundgren in Opera Bot. 31: 28. 1972): South Africa. Cape Peninsula, Table Mt., rocky slopes and ledges above Kirstenbosch, 600m, 14 Sep 1952, Esterhuysen 20389 (BOL; iso- PRE).

Current name: Anaxeton arborescens (L.) Less. ( Asteraceae ).
