Basionym of: Clitoria galactia (L.) L. (1763) .

Lectotype (Fortunato in Turland & Jarvis in Taxon 46: 470. 1997): Herb. Linn. No. 901.24 ( LINN) .

Current name: Galactia pendula Pers. ( Fabaceae : Faboideae ).

Note: Fawcett & Rendle (Fl. Jamaica 4: 55. 1920) treated material in Sloane’s herbarium (BM-SL) as the type but this was not seen by Linnaeus and is not original material for the name.
