Type species: Paradelius ghesquierei de Saeger, 1942  .

Diagnosis. Antenna of female slender submedially, with 20 antennomeres; maxillary palp with 3–5 segments ( Figs 12FView FIGURE 12, 13B & EView FIGURE 13) (3 in type species); clypeus almost as wide as face ( Figs 12IView FIGURE 12, 13BView FIGURE 13); eyes short setose ( Figs 12IView FIGURE 12, 13BView FIGURE 13); prepectal carina present ( Fig. 12HView FIGURE 12); vein 1-SR of fore wing absent ( Figs 12AView FIGURE 12, 14CView FIGURE 14); dorsal areola of propodeum wide ( Figs 12BView FIGURE 12, 13FView FIGURE 13); first and second metasomal tergites largely longitudinally sculptured ( Figs 12GView FIGURE 12, 13FView FIGURE 13, 14BView FIGURE 14); first and second metasomal sutures distinct and crenulate ( Fig. 12GView FIGURE 12).

Distribution. Afrotropical, East Palaearctic, Oriental.
