Pterostichus elongatus Schaeffer, 1910: 391 [secondary homonym of Pterostichus elongatus (Duftschmid, 1812)]. Type locality: "Moscou M[oun]t[ain]s [Latah County], Idaho" (original citation). Holotype (♀) in USNM [# 42496].

Pterostichus idahoae Csiki, 1930: 582. Replacement name for Pterostichus elongatus Schaeffer, 1910.

Distribution.

This species is found in northern Idaho and western Montana (Hacker 1968: 39).
