Celyphoma quadrupla View in CoL , sp. nov.

Description. Length, male (N=71) (including tegmen): 3.6–3.8 mm, length of tegmen: 2.4–2.6 mm; female (N=56) (including tegmen): 3.8–4.0 mm, length of tegmen: 2.6–2.8 mm.
Coloration. Body light brown with fuscous maculae ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1 – 10 ). Vertex brown with pale median carina ( Figs 1, 2 View FIGURES 1 – 10 ). Eyes dark brown. Frons light brown with pale median carina, two small light spots in middle and two dark red oblong spots above frontoclypeal suture, lateral areas pale yellow with dark brown spots ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1 – 10 ). Clypeus pale with brown oblique stripes ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1 – 10 ). Pronotum pale yellow suffused with numerous brown spots, and two red pits in middle ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 10 ). Mesonotum fuscous, with bright carinae. Tegmen fulvous with a subobsolete fuscous oblique fascia near middle from costal margin to posterior margin. Legs brown with dark brown stripes. Abdomen pale ventrally and dorsally.
Head and Thorax: Vertex subquadrate, anterior margin slightly convex, hind margin concave angularly, 1.4× wider at apex than length in midline ( Figs 1, 2 View FIGURES 1 – 10 ). Frons 1.3× longer than widest part, 1.1× wider at widest part than at upper margin; with inverted U-shaped area at disc ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1 – 10 ). Pronotum with anterior margin convex and posterior margin nearly straight ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 10 ). Mesonotum 3.0× wider at widest part than length at midline. Tegmen 2.3× longer than widest part, costal margin nearly parallel to sutural margin ( Figs 5 View FIGURES 1 – 10 , 40 View FIGURES 36 – 43 ). Spinal formula of hind leg: 6–8–2.
Male genitalia: Pygofer with hind margin slightly curved, ventral margin wide, narrowing to dorsal margin ( Fig. 38 View FIGURES 36 – 43 ). Suspensorium membranous and short ( Fig. 37 View FIGURES 36 – 43 ). Connective thick but faintly pigmented ( Fig. 37 View FIGURES 36 – 43 ). Aedeagus very slightly U-shaped ( Figs 13 View FIGURES 11 – 20 , 37, 39 View FIGURES 36 – 43 ). Dorso-lateral lobes of phallobase fused dorsally, apical margin obtusely rounded and reflected upward, with one pair of long knobbed processes at apex. Ventral lobe of phallobase short, apex obtuse. Phallus sclerotized, apical portion of phallus slender in lateral view, tapering into hook and curved cephalad, with one pair of long processes which almost encircle the dorso-lateral lobe of phallobase at middle. Genital style with hind margin convex ( Fig. 38 View FIGURES 36 – 43 ). Capitulum of style short, slightly narrowing apically in dorsal view, with a large lateral tooth directed ventrally ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 11 – 20 ).
Male internal reproductive system: Testes ellipsoidal, enclosed by a red sheath, each testis with eight tubeshaped testicular follicles. Vas deferens divided into two portions, the upper portion linking testis and seminal vesicle is slender, covered with yellow color sheath; the lower portion linking seminal vesicle and ejaculatory duct is white and thicker than upper portion. Seminal vesicle is slender and spiraling, with a yellow surface. Ejaculatory duct elongate but expanded at end. Accessory gland is much developed, usually coiled in the genital chamber ( Fig. 21 View FIGURES 21 – 24 ).
Female genitalia: Sternum VII with apical margin strongly concave. Gonoplac slightly elevated in the median area, the third gonoplac lobes faintly sclerotized and pigmented, indistinctly forked in dorsal view ( Figs 16, 17 View FIGURES 11 – 20 ). Posterior connective lamina of gonapophyses IX strongly sclerotized at basal half and faintly sclerotized at apical half, lateral fields flat and narrow, median field with single lobe ( Figs 15, 18 View FIGURES 11 – 20 ). Anterior connective lamina of gonapophyses VIII with a digitiform appendage at base, with three teeth in apical group, and three large teeth with carinae in lateral group ( Figs 19, 20 View FIGURES 11 – 20 ).
Female internal reproductive system: Both bursa copulatrix and vagina with double membrane. Bursa copulatrix pouched at apical half and tubular at basal half. Posterior vagina thick and straight. Relatively, anterior vagina thinner and curved. Oviductus lateralis long, with numerous elongate glandula oviducti lateralis ( Fig. 22 View FIGURES 21 – 24 , see arrow) at base. Oviductus communis short. Ovary small with four ovarioles. Spermatheca well-developed, ductus receptaculi short, diverticulum ductus long and in capsule form, spermathecal pump yellow and smaller than diverticulum ductus, glandula apicalis short and thin ( Figs 22, 23 View FIGURES 21 – 24 ).
Eggs: Egg orangish and oval, length 0.88 mm –1.00 mm, 2.1 x longer than widest part. Respiratory horn white ( Fig. 24 View FIGURES 21 – 24 ).

Remarks. This species resembles C. modesta Lukyanova, 1992 , but differs from the latter in the following: 1) tegmen fulvous with a subobsolete fuscous oblique fascia near middle from costal margin to posterior margin (tegmen opaque, with a light stripe in the middle in C. modesta ); 2) apical margin of male anal tube straight (convex in C. modesta ); 3) aedeagus with one pair of curved median ventral processes, almost encircling the phallobase (a pair of straight ventral processes in C. modesta ).
Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the Latin root prefix “quadri-”, referring to the aedeagus with four processes.
