DISTRIBUTION: Afghanistan, Australia, Botswana, Cabo Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, India, Iran, Kenya, Lesotho, Madagascar, Mali, Mozambique, Namibia , Niger, Oman, Réunion, Rwanda, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Togo, Tanzania, Yemen, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Lusaka, in Lusaka Province. LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Larval foodplants are various grasses (in the grass Family, Poaceae ), including cereal grasses i.e. Sorghum sp. , Oryza sativa L. [Asian rice, but most commonly referred to in English as rice], Pennisetum americanum (L.) Leeke; [Pearl millet] and Zea mays L. [cereal grain crop or cereal grass commonly called maize].
