DISTRIBUTION: Angola, Australia (Queensland), Botswana, Costa Rica, Cuba, Czech Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Ethiopia, Great Britain, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Nigeria, Réunion, Singapore, South Africa, Sudan, Taiwan, Tanzania, Uganda, USA (Florida, South Carolina), Zambia, Zimbabwe.
LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Kabwe and Kapiri Mposhi, in Central Province.
LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Larval food plants include two aquatic plants, one from the family Hydrocharitaceae ( Hydrilla verticillate (L.f.) Royle) and the other but yet to be identified species from the Nymphaeaceae family ( Nymphaea sp. ).
