COMMON NAME (S): Grass moth or Crambid Snout Moth.
SYNONYM(S): Botys obrinalis Lederer, 1863 ; Botys trigalis Lederer, 1863 ; Zebronia graphicalis Swinhoe, 1886b ; Pionea nigripunctalis Fawcett, 1916 .
IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE).
DISTRIBUTION: Australia, Borneo, China, Democratic Republic of Congo, India, Kenya, Maluku, Moluccas, South Africa, Zambia.
LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: ‘Lusaka’, in Lusaka Province.
LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Host plants of the taxon unknown however, the African Moths (2019) webpage indicates that Grewia sp. a yet to be identified Malvaceae species is a larval foodplant of the taxon.
