COMMON NAME (S): Eggar, Snout moth (although this also refers to the Pyralidae ) or Lappet moth.
SYNONYM(S): Gonometa drucei Bethune-Baker, 1908a ; Pachypasa jamiesoni Bethune-Baker, 1915 ; Pachypasa richelmanni Weymer, 1892 .
IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE).
DISTRIBUTION: Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Eswatini, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Lusaka , in Lusaka Province.
LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Larval foodplants include the Fabaceae species, Vachellia xanthophloea (Benth.) P.J.H. Hurterand a yet to be identified Acacia species in Kenya but no host plant has yet been reported for Zambia.
