COMMON NAME (S): Bristly Goat.
SYNONYM(S): Xyleutes leucopteris Houlbert, 1916 ; Xyleutes vosseleri Gaede, 1930 .

DISTRIBUTION: Angola, Burundi, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Gabon, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Kafue, Chilanga and Lusaka , in Lusaka Province; Livingstone, in Southern Province.
LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Larvae foodplants include two yet to be identified Fabaceae species ( Cassia sp. and Pterolobium sp. ).
