COMMON NAME (S): Dichomeridine Moth. SYNONYM(S): Anarsia gambiensis Strand, 1913e View in CoL .
IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE).
DISTRIBUTION: Democratic Republic of Congo, Gambia, Kenya, Mozambique, Namibia , South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Ndola, in Copperbelt Province. LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Host plants include three Fabaceae species in Kenya namely, Vachellia xanthophloea (Benth.) P.J.H.Hurter , Vachellia tortilis (Forssk.) Galasso & Banfi and Acacia mellifera (M. Vahl) Benth. ), as well as one
Fabaceae species Vachellia karroo (Hayne) Banfi & Galasso ], in South Africa. Although no host plants for the taxon have been reported for Zambia, these miombo plants are also found in the country and most likely are some of the host plants of the taxon.
