COMMON NAME (S): Slug-caterpillar moth or Cup-cocoon moth. SYNONYM(S): Ctenocampa ganale Pagenstecher, 1903 .

IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE).

DISTRIBUTION: Angola, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Togo, Uganda, Zambia.

LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Kafue, in Lusaka Province; Serenje, in Central Province. LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Larval foodplants include: two Euphorbiaceae species, Acalypha glabrata Thunb. and Alchornea cordifolia (Schumach. & Thonn.) M̧ll.Arg.; one Asteraceae species, Aspilia latifolia Oliv. & Hiern. ; one Ebenaceae species, Diospyros villosa (L.) De Winter; one Lythraceae species, Lagerstroemia speciosa (L.) Pers.;

one Celastraceae species, Putterlickia verrucosa (E. Mey. ex Sond.) Szyszył. and one Malvaceae species,

Urena lobata L.
