COMMON NAME (S): Cavorting Emperor. SYNONYM(S): None.

IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE).

DISTRIBUTION: Angola, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Chad, Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Eritrea, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia , Nigeria, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Lusaka, in Lusaka Province. LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Host plants for the taxon include two Burseraceae species ( Commiphora woodii Engl. and another Commiphora sp. ) and two Anacardiaceae species ( Sclerocarya birrea (A.Rich.) Hochst. and S. caffra subsp. caffra (Sond.) Kokwaro ) in South Africa ( Fawcett 1903; van den Berg 1971 b; Pinhey 1972b;

Oberprieler 1995); one Anacardiaceae species ( Schinus mole L. ) in Kenya ( Gardner 1957) and one

Meliaceae species ( Melia azedarach L.) in an unnamed African country ( Rougeot 1962). The African

Moths website (2019) without associating host plants to specific countries lists the following species of plants as hosts of the taxon in all above-mentioned African countries: one Burseraceae species

( Commiphora woodi Engl. ), two Anacardiaceae species ( Sclerocarya birrea subsp. caffra (Sond.)

Kokwaro and Schinus molle ) and; One Meliaceae species ( Melia azedarach ).
