DISTRIBUTION: Angola, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria,

Republic of Congo, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Lake Kashiba, Mpongwe [south-west of Luanshya, close to Mpongwe and St Anthony’s Mission.], in Copperbelt Province.

LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Larval foodplants include: one Bignoniaceae species ( Newbouldia imperialis P.Beauv. ) in Nigeria ( MacNulty 1970); one Bignoniaceae species ( Markhamia sp. ) in Niger ( MacNulty 1970); one Oleaceae species ( Jasminum dichotomum Vahl. ) and one Bignoniaceae species ( Newbouldia laevis (P.Beauv.)

Seem.) in Côte d’Ivoire ( Vuattoux et al. 1989) and four Bignoniaceae species ( Newbouldia sp. ,

Markhamia sp. M. lutea (Benth.) K.Schum. and Spathodea sp. ) in an unnamed country or countries

(Ķhne 2008; Pinhey 1975).

African Moths (2019) lists the following plants as larval foodplants of the taxon: Seven Bignoniaceae species ( Newboldia imperialis , Newbouldia leavis (P.Beauv.) Seem. , Markhamia lutea (Benth.) K.Schum. ,

Markhamia sp. , Markhamia zanzibarica (Bojer ex DC.) K.Schum. and Spathodea campanulata P.Beauv. )

and one Oleaceae species ( Jasminum dichotomum Vahl ).
