COMMON NAME (S): Ruby Polyptychus or Ruby Polyptychus Hawkmoth.
SYNONYM(S): Polyptychus burorum Strand, 1915b .
IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE).
DISTRIBUTION: Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Luangwa bridge between Lusaka and Eastern Provinces.
LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Larval foodplants include one Phyllanthaceae species ( Bridelia micrantha (Hochst.) Baill. ) and one Fabaceae species ( Pterocarpus rotundifolius (Sond.) Druce ) ( African Moths 2019).
