COMMON NAME (S): Variegated Vapourer.
SYNONYM(S): Dasycampa ianthina Janse, 1915 .
IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE).
DISTRIBUTION: Angola, Botswana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia , South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Petauke, in Eastern Province ; Kabwe, in Central Province.
LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Larval foodplants include one Combretaceae species namely, Combretum indicum (L.) DeFilipps and another, yet to be identlified namely, Combretum sp. ( African Moths 2019).
