COMMON NAME (S): Triangles or Semilooper moth.

SYNONYM(S): Ophiusa anfractuosa Boisduval, 1833 ; Noctua deliana Stoll, 1790 ; Trigonodes acutata Guenée, 1852 ; Trigonodes compar Walker, 1858c ; Trigonodes inacuta Guenée, 1852c .

DISTRIBUTION: Angola, Australia, Botswana, Cameroon, Cabo Verde, China, Comoros, Democratic Republic of Congo, Eritrea, Eritrea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, India, Java, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Myanmar, Namibia , New Zealand, Nigeria, Philippines, Republic of Congo, Réunion, Rwanda, Sao Tome & Principe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Somalia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Sumatra, Taiwan, Tanzania, Uganda, Vietnam, Yemen, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Kafue ** and University of Zambia Campus ** in Lusaka , both localities in Lusaka Province.

LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Larval foodplants include two Fabaceae species Indigofera sp. and Medicago sativa L. ( African Moths 2019).

The wasp Enicospilus rufus (Brullé) (Ichneumonidae) is a parasitoid of the taxon.
