DISTRIBUTION: Angola, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Nigeria, Republic of Congo, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Tanzania,
Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Ndola, in Copperbelt Province; Kafue, in Lusaka Province. LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Larval foodplants are various grasses ( Poaceae ) including the crop, rice ( Oryza sativa L.). The larvae also feed on Abelmoschus esculentus (Malvaceae) and one yet to be identified Solanaceae species, Capsicum
sp. ( African Moths 2019).
