Clitellaria elongata Wiedemann, 1824: 30 . Syntype: male (UZMC). Type locality: “Americae meridionale”.

= Beris flavispinosa Macquart, 1855: 58 . Holotype: male (NHMUK). Type locality: “Amérique méridionale”. Syn. by Woodley (1995: 79).

Distribution. Brazil, Costa Rica, Guyana, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay (San Pedro: Cororo-Rio Ypane, General Isidoro Resquín), Peru, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela.
