Type material of Strandella paranglampara (examined). Holotype ♁ (coll. no. SO44a), CHINA: Hainan Island , Panja Town, Songtao Reservoir , 3.IV.2011, leg. A. T. Barrion et al .; Paratype: 1 ♁ (coll. no. SO44b), same data as holotype.

Description and diagnosis. See Saito (1982) for the description and diagnosis of both sexes.

Distribution. China (Hainan) and Japan.

Comments. The type material of Strandella paranglampara was examined and no differences between the males of Agyneta ignorata and S. paranglampara could be distinguished, so we consider S. paranglampara syn. nov. to be a junior synonym of A. ignorata .
