Type material examined. Holotype ♀ (coll. no. S043), CHINA: Hainan Island , Panja Town, Songtao Reservoir , 3.IV.2011, leg. A. T. Barrion et al .; Paratypes: 2♀ (coll. nos. 48, 51), same data as holotype .

Distribution. China (Hainan).
Comments. Identification of Agyneta mingshengzhui is difficult because the male is unknown (A. Tanasevitch, personal communication). Its collection at the type locality in future is necessary to confirm the generic placement of the species, although the female morphology is more consistent with a placement in Nesioneta Millidge, 1991 than in Agyneta Hull, 1911 , where it is currently placed; we thus propose its transfer to Nesioneta .
