50. Notylia obtusa Schlechter (1920: 187) View in CoL .

Type:— COLOMBIA. Antioquia, [1909–1911], M. Madero s.n. ( B destroyed). Neotype (designated here):— COLOMBIA. Antioquia: Mutata , 26 March 1987, J. Zarucchi, J. Betancur, B. Echeverry & F. J. Roldán 5021 ( MO 3528105 !).

Notes: — Schlechter (1920) described N. obtusa without informing the protologue the type specimen and herbarium where the deposit took place. It is believed that the material was destroyed in the bombing during the Second World War (Butzin 1978, 1980). The species is native and endemic to Colombia and was known only by the type specimen ( Ortiz-Valdivieso, 2015; Betancur et al. 2015). Thus, in the absence of a specimen or illustration, a neotype is required. The sample from the type locality that is deposited in the MO herbarium is designated here as a neotype.
