Material examined. TAIWAN: Anping , holotype female, 2 paratype females, 4.x.1912, H. Sauter ( DEI, Germany) .

Diagnostic characters. A small species with an usually large spherical seminal capsule with unsclerotized neck.

Female (n = 3, unless otherwise stated)

Wing length 1.07–1.15 mm. Wing length / length of profemur 2.47–2.65 (2). Thorax, pale brown, dark at scutum, postnotum and preepisternum; abdomen, femur, tibia and tarsi pale brown.

Head. AR 0.36 (1). Length of flagellomeres (in µm) 97 (1), 82 (1), 62 (1), 39 (1), 107 (1). Temporal setae 10. Clypeus with 23–31 setae.

Thorax. Acrostichals 17 (1), dorsocentrals 23–25 (2), prealars 3–6. Scutellum 6–7 setae.

Wing. Anal lobe reduced. VR 1.29–1.40. Brachiolum with 1 (2) setae, R with 35 (1), R 1 with 35 (1), R 4+5 with 50 (1), M with 7 (1), RM with 4 (1), M 1+2 with 69 (1), M 3+4 with 29 (1), Cu with 20 (1), PCu with 17 setae. Cells r 4+5, m 1+2, m 3+4, cell m basal of RM; cu plus an with few to numerous macrotrichia. Squama with 2– 4 setae (2).

Legs. Scale on foretibia 23–27 (2) µm long, with blunt apex. Spur on midtibia 44–45 (2) µm long, hind tibia lost. Combs on midtibia 18 (1) µm and 41 µm (1) long. Width at apex of foretibia 29–30 (2) µm, of midtibia 41 (1) µm. Length and proportions of legs as in Table 35.

Genitalia ( Fig. 28C). Gonocoxite IX with 2–3 (2) setae, tergite IX with 27–28 (2) setae, segment X with 4 (2) setae. Cercus 53–57 (2) µm long. Seminal capsule ovoid, neck not sclerotized. Notum 80–87 (2) µm long. Dorsomesal lobe 57–62 (2) µm long, 32–34 (2) µm wide; ventrolateral lobe slightly curved, brush-like. Postgenital plate nearly U-shaped.

Remarks. The species is known only as female.

Distribution. Known only from Taiwan.
