Type host: Prunella modularis (Linnaeus) ( Passeriformes : Prunellidae ). Type locality: Poland.
Host range and distribution. Metastenoxenous species associated with birds of the genus Prunella ( Passeriformes : Prunellidae ): P. a t ro g u l a r i s (Brandt) from Mongolia ( Skoracki 2011), P. modularis (Linnaeus) from Poland ( Skoracki & Magowski 2001) and Pyrrhula ( Passeriformes : Fringillidae ): Pyrrhula pyrrhula (Linnaeus) from Slovakia ( Klimovicova & Hromada 2014).
