- Male with flagellomeres 1–8 (possibly 9) fused. The fusion of the first flagellomere to the second is unique in the family.
- Female hind leg claw tooth situated ventrally on the claw and directed ventrally. The feature is nearly unique in the family but a similar condition occurs in some Stilobezzia .
