Current status: a junior synonym of Orthezia urticae (Linnaeus) (Family Ortheziidae ). Westwood (1845: 22) regarded the name Chironomus dubius Fabricius, 1805: 46 , to be a secondary homonym of Coccus dubius Fabricius, 1794 , and renamed it Monophlebus fabrici Westwood. This action was not necessary. Current status: Monophlebus dubius (Fabricius) (Family Monophlebidae ).
