Ophioglossum circinnatum Burm. f. , Fl. Ind.: 228. 1768.
≡ Lygodium circinnatum (Burm. f.) Sw. View in CoL , Syn. Fil.: 153. 1806.
Lectotypus (designated by HOLTTUM, 1959a: 59): INDONESIA. Java: s.d., Pryon s.n. ( G-PREL [ G00818001 ]!).
Notes. – In the protologue, BURMAN (1768: 228) cited a Pryon specimen and two illustrations ( RUMPHIUS, 1750: 75 (sphalm. “76”), tab. 33; PETIVER, 1702 – 1709: tab. 64, fig. 10).
HOLTTUM (1959a: 59) mentioned as type “ Java, herb. Burman (G, not seen)”. As the only original material in G-PREL is a Pryon collection from Java [G00818001], Holttum’s statement is accepted as implicit lectotypification.
