Description. Male. Dark brown ( Figs 1A–F View FIGURE 1 ).

Eyes slightly bulging, relatively small, interocular dorsal distance ca. 1.8 times greater than eye radius. Ultimate maxillary and labial palpomeres larger than preceding palpomeres, slightly widened distally. Antennae barely reaching over the elytral middle, ratio of lengths of antennomeres 2–7 3: 8: 8: 7: 7: 7 ( Figs 1A, 1F View FIGURE 1 ).

Pronotum transverse, about twice as wide as long, with conspicuous obtuse anterior and pronounced acute posterior angles; median crest well developed in anterior half and nearly obsolete posteriad of the crossline; transverse carinae narrow, distinctly reaching median ridge. Elytra flattened, elongate, ca. 3.6 times as long as wide at humeri, parallel-sided; interstices 1-3 with even double rows of small roundish cells ( Figs 1A–F View FIGURE 1 ).

Tarsomere length ratio (of tarsomeres 1–4) 5.3: 2.3: 1.9: 1 ( Figs 1A, F View FIGURE 1 ).

Length (from anterior head margin to end of elytra) 5.7 mm; width at humeri 1.9 mm, pronotal width at base 1.8 mm, pronotal length at midline 0.92 mm.

Syninclusions. None.

Etymology. Damzenium rivnense sp. nov. is named after the region where the amber specimen was discovered (‘Rivne’, the Ukrainian for ‘Rovno’).
