Materials examined.

Taiwan, Hsinchu County, Jianshi Township, Ptlaman Mountain , on stroma of Ophiocordyceps sp. parasitic on an insect ( Coleoptera ), 28 July 2021, Li-Hong Chen, living culture NTUPPMCC 21-056 (= CD11) .

Notes.

Morphological features of Pestalotiopsis formosana (NTUPPMCC 21-056), obtained in this study, overlap with the original taxonomic description of P. formosana in Ariyawansa and Hyde (2018). Hence, considering both the phylogeny, based on DNA sequence data and morphological characterisation, NTUPPMCC 21-056 was recognised as Pestalotiopsis formosana .
