Eastern Pacific and worldwide distribution. A widely distributed species, moderately common in tropical and temperate waters ( Zeidler & de Broyer 2009). In the Pacific it has been found from the Bering Sea to the Gulf of California ( Brusca & Hendrickx 2005; García Madrigal 2007). Pacific, Indian and Atlantic Oceans, and Antarctic (García Madrigal 2007).
Remarks. Scina wolterecki appears to be also abundant and widely distributed in the Gulf of California where it was found in eight stations ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 ). The antennae 1 is almost as long as the rest of the body, and the outer maxil- liped lobes are also very slender and long, a character not seen in other species of Scina ; lobes are 8 times as long as wide.
