Pheidole chalcoides Wilson, 2003: 397 View Cited Treatment , figs. Holotype major worker and associated paratype minor worker: Mexico, Veracruz: 3 km west of Fortin De Las Flores, 1000 m (R. J. Hamton and A. B. Hamton) [MCZC] (examined). New Synonym.

Comments. The types of P. chalcoides are typical specimens of the widespread arboreal species P. nitidicollis .
