Type material. CHINA, Sichuan Province: Holotype female from Ya’an City, Yingjing County, Longcanggou Town National Forest Park , 29.61°N, 102.89°E, 1581 m, 3 May 2016 , Y. Zhong & Y. Zhu leg. ( CBEE, LJ2157 ) GoogleMaps . Paratype: 1 female, with same data as for holotype ( CBEE, LJ2158 ) GoogleMaps .

Etymology. The specific name is derived from the type locality, the Yingjing County; adjective.

Diagnosis. The female of P. yingjingensis Zhang, Jäger & Liu , spec. nov. is similar to that of P. virgata in having similar shapes of LL and AB, dorsal windings of IDS slightly twisted, but can be distinguished by sclerotised parts of IDS seen in ventral view distinctly longer, tips of these structures strongly bent, mediad and close to the anterior margins of LL (sclerotised part of IDS seen in ventral view shorter, almost straight and distinctly separated from anterior margins of LL in P. virgata ).

FEMALE (LJ2157): Measurements: Medium sized. Body length 16.4, DS length 6.8, width 6.0, OS length 9.6, width 7.1. Eyes: AME 0.29, ALE 0.40, PME 0.33, PLE 0.36, AME–AME 0.16, AME–ALE 0.07, PME– PME 0.23, PME–PLE 0.35, AME–PME 0.31, ALE–PLE 0.26, CH AME 0.37, CH ALE 0.30. Spination: Pp 131, 101, 2121, 1014; Fe I–III 323, IV 331; Pa I–IV 100; Ti I–II 2228, III–IV 2126; Mt I–II 2024, III 2026, IV 3036. Measurements of palps and legs: Pp 7.9 (2.4, 1.1, 1.7, –, 2.7); I 17.6 (5.3, 2.0, 5.1, 4.2, 1.0); II 22.6 (6.4, 2.5, 6.7, 5.3, 1.7); III 15.9 (5.1, 1.8, 4.6, 3.7, 0.7); IV 18.4 (5.9, 1.1, 4.8, 5.1, 1.5). Leg formula: II-IV-I-III. Cheliceral furrow with ca. 21 denticles.

Epigyne ( Figs 272A–C View FIGURE 272 ): As in diagnosis. EF wider than long, AB short but distinct, their bases situated between anterior ends of anterior margins of LL. FW well developed, almost covering entire IDS. Tips of FD laterad in ventral view.

Colouration ( Figs 273A–B View FIGURE 273 ): DS reddish brown with dark pattern and setae, marginally with irregular dark dots. Fovea and striae distinctly marked. OS dorsally yellowish brown with a black line in longitudinal axis at anterior part, with a transverse chevron-like yellow line at posterior part. OS ventrally brown, with two parallel yellow longitudinal lines.

MALE: Unknown.
