Remarks. Former records from the UAE ( Schmid-Egger 2011, Pulawki 1995) refer to G. barqaalsuqoorensis Schmid-Egger , sp. nov. The true G. funereus occurs in Iran, Central Asia, Turkey, Morocco and Oman.
