Erwinius Olmi & Guglielmino , New Genus

Type species: Erwinius prognatus Olmi & Guglielmino, New species.

Female (Figs 1, 2). Fully winged; head prognathous; occipital carina incomplete; mandibles with 3 teeth, progressing larger from anterior one to posterior; face and partly clypeus with a strong median raised carina; clypeus very large, about twice as broad as eyes; antennae without rhinaria; maxillary palpi 4-segmented; labial palpi 2-segmented; forewing with two basal cells (costal and median) enclosed by pigmented veins, without other complete veins (except those surrounding costal and median cells), their course not being marked by dark stripes; pterostigma present; stigmal vein forming an angle between the proximal and distal parts; hind wing hyaline, with costal cell, without a dark medial longitudinal stripe; fore tarsus not chelate; tibial spurs 1, 1, 2.

Male. Unknown.

Etymology. The genus is named after Dr. Terry L. Erwin.
