Discussion.
This taxon is a narrow endemic of the central Andes of Chile and Argentina ( Giussani et al. 2012). Reports from Mexico by Hitchcock to Dávila Aranda, from 1913 to 2006, as Poa villaroellii , and Clayton et al. (2006) as Poa acinaciphylla are based on the specimens here referred to Poa chamaeclinos .
